Robert Lee Sharp, 79, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a member and deacon of the Forest Hill Baptist Church, and retired from Fuzzy’s Feed, Inc.
Visitation was last evening at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be today, Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Rich Hardeman. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Military funeral honors will be accorded at graveside.
Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Carrie Lee Brown Sharp; brothers, Lloyd, Clarence, and Clyde Sharp; a grandson, Brandon Lee Sharp.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Glenda Newton Sharp; son, Bobby Sharp and wife Sonia; daughters, Tammy Sharp Risner and husband Greg; Becky Sharp McCune and husband Scott; brother, Cecil Sharp and wife Mary, Pearl May; grandchildren, Julie Elizabeth McCune, Lane Katherine Risner, Anna Grace and Daniel Glenn Sharp.
Active pallbearers will be Don Price, Jr., Dr. Jack Moore, Dr. James Wells, Jerry McVay, Greg Sharp, and Jim Hensley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Glasgow, Elmer Martin, Jr., Jack Bryant, Bob Gray, H. M. “Fuzzy” Perritt, Deacons of FHBC, and Adult 1 Men’s Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the FHBC Building Fund.
