Robert Lee Haddock, 76, of Florence, AL passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The service will follow in the chapel with Carl Seigenthaler officiating, burial following in New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mr. Haddock was a native of Lauderdale County, AL and was retired from the Florence Fire Department. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ, was a member of the Mason’s Lodge 14 and served in the U.S. Army Corps Reserve being called to active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was preceded in death by his mother Tessie Lee Haddock, father Major Haddock and brother Coye Haddock and an infant brother.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years Katy Haddock. sons, Randal Haddock (Melissa), Bobby Haddock (Angie), daughter Tessie Haddock, sister Martha Broadfoot (Jack), 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild also several nieces and nephews.
Clay Jackson, Matt Hall, Lawrence Smith, John Howlett, Ray Haddock, Lloyd Haddock, Jonathan Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. Eli Frazier, Seth Frazer, Will Frazier, Andrew Law and Gavin Brewer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Mann, Dr. Jon Sherrod and the Florence Nursing Home staff for the care given to Robert in his time of need.
