Robert-Mcpeak-1465046387Robert L. McPeak, age 84, died on Friday, June 3, 2016 at his Jackson home surrounded by his family and the loving care of AseraCare hospice.
A native of Burlison, TN, he was born on February 19, 1932, the son of the late Robert Lee and Gracie Pinner McPeak. He served in the United States Naval Reserve and was retired in 1997 as a Safety Manager in the printing industry. He was the recipient of numerous awards as a team leader. He was a member of the Juno Church of Christ. He loved animals of all kinds, and enjoyed participating in water sports. He enjoyed being with people as he never met a stranger and was a generous person to all. He appreciated sports cars and was an avid University of Tennessee football fan as well as Northside High School Football. He had a great sense of humor known for his many “one liners”. He was a very devoted man to his family and caring for their needs.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Maxine Mae McPeak of Jackson; sons, Eddie Wayne McPeak (Angela) of Jackson, Terry McPeak (Lauren) of Jackson and Michael McPeak (Sally) of Fair Hope, AL; a daughter, Rita Kliem (Robert) of Jackson; sisters, Jane McPeak of Burlison, TN, Callie Farrell of Memphis and Julie Barca of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Holly Rene, James Robert, Celeste and Colin and great grandchildren, Brandy, Kasey and Kayla.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
