Robert Jackson “Bob” Crane Jr., born October 26, 1942, passed away on September 27, 2026.
Mr. Crane graduated from the University of Alabama in 1964. He also served in the United States Navy. Following his naval service, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where he worked as an accountant. Mr. Crane enjoyed playing golf and was a prolific reader.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jackson Crane Sr.; mother, Ina Barbie Crane; and sister, Susan Crane Smith.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Tommy Smith (Geneva); niece, Kelly Smith; nephews, Noah (Holly) Smith and Josh (Tenia) Smith; great-nieces, Ashley Graham, Zoe Smith, and Lilly Smith; great-nephews, Konner Smith and Kollier Smith; and loving friends, Ronnie and Mary Hood.
Mr. Crane will be buried at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family would also like to extend its deepest appreciation for the care given to Mr. Crane in his last days by Lisa Hope and Gentiva Health.
