Funeral service for Robert Gene Drinkard, 81, will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Drinkard and Bro. J.B. Dunn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Drinkard died on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1935, in Morgan County to Iley Leldon Drinkard and Jewel Leesell Lindsey Drinkard. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He sang Gospel Music and had a ministry of serving at Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes. He worked in Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical prior to retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Mark Drinkard.
