Funeral for Robert F. McCurley, age 90, of Hartselle will be Monday, November, 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ralph Henderson officiating. Military graveside will be at Madison Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McCurley passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born December 4, 1923, in Madison, Alabama to the late Robert A. and Ida McCurley. He was a World War II, 1st Infantry veteran, and a member of the Local 15 Bricklayers Union for 58 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a song leader and a Sunday school teacher. He loved God, his church, teaching, and singing.
Mr. McCurley is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Beatrice McCurley; a daughter, Sandra Alvis; one grandson; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons; Steven (Gail) McCurley, Tim (Sandra) McCurley, both of Hartselle; daughter Rhonda McCurley of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
