Mr. Robert Edward Rogers, Jr., age 59, passed away Tuesday in Lexington. Known to his family and friends as “Slugo”, he was the best Daddy, Husband, and Grandfather. He was an HVAC technician, owner of Rogers Sheet Metal, Inc. and was known as one of the best sheet metal men in the country. He loved to work and being outdoors. He regularly attended Sand Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Gordon Rogers. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Lizanne Woods Rogers; his son, Richard Gordon Rogers (Jennifer); his daughter, Jeanne Rogers Moody (Bobby White); his parents, Robert E. Rogers, Sr. and Nancy Rogers; two sisters, Tiffany Dawn Rogers Bean (Craig) and Susy Rogers Crain (Shelby); and three grandchildren, Connor Lane Moody, Addison Grace Rogers, and Paxton Lee Rogers.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM, Friday, July 1, 2022 at Lexington Cemetery
