Robert Edward Kirk, age 87, died on July 3, 2026 at STRHS in Pulaski, TN. He was a resident of Meadowbrook Nursing Home. He was born to Mary Frances Leslie and Robert Earl Kirk on April 7, 1939.He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kirk; daughter, Mary Beth Kirk; and sister, Dorothy Sisk.
Survivors include daughters Patricia (Mark) Hornal of Vanleer, Tn; Tammy (Chris) Thorne of Goodspring, Tn; Jennifer Kirk of Pulaski, Tn; grandsons Seth (Autumn) Thorne of Gardendale, Alabama; Caleb (Emily) Thorne of Harvest, Alabama; Terry Nesmith of Pleasant View, Tn; and John Nesmith of Springfield, Tn, as well as granddaughters Alexis Kirk of Pulaski, Tn; Breanna Kirk of Pulaski, Tn; Rachel (Curtis) Pickering of Fulton, Tn, and Rebecca (Amy) Beasley of Atlanta, Georgia.
Other survivors include 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, as well as life-long friend, Philip Brewer.
He loved his family and friends and worked hard all his life, retiring from Pulaski Rubber Company after many years of employment. He enjoyed playing cards, arrowhead hunting and metal detecting. He played the piano and guitar beautifully, though never had a single lesson. He loved working with his hands and making pretty much anything he could think of out of wood and flint rock. He never met a stranger and always found a way to make others laugh. He was of Baptist faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tn on August 1, 2026 from 2-4 p.m
