Robert Edward Dickson, Sr., age 89, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and of the Christian faith. He loved farming, traveling, and all sort of animals. He was also, an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Dickson served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ler Lena Snyder Dickson; his wife, Docie Lou Mayfield Dickson; granddaughter, Alexandria Lamprecht; grandson, Dustin Wyrick; brother, Frank Dickson; sister, Beulah Henson; brother, Leonard Dickson; brother, Steve Dickson; and stepmother, Myrtle Brock Dickson.
He is survived by his eight children, Rita Dickson Ridgway (Jay) of Appleton, TN; Robert Edward Dickson, Jr. of Summertown, TN; Nancy Regas of Lawrenceburg, TN; Patrick Dickson (Norilie Eugenio) of Summertown, TN; Lisa Dickson of Lawrenceburg, TN; Sandra Saeger (John) of Leoma, TN; Amy Dickson Lamprecht of SC; and Mandi Dickson Haislip (Kevin) of Lawrenceburg, TN; seven grandchildren, Hannah Ridgway, Kaliana Tatum, Kariella Tatum, Paige McGinnis, River Lamprecht, Preston Lovell, and Billy Wayne Lovell, IV; several nieces and nephews; special dog, Black-Jack; and special cat, Gracie.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, with Danny Clark and Daniel Clark officiating. Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN with full military honors.
