Mr. Robert DoltonRobert Earl Dolton was born on January 28, 1968, in Tchula, Mississippi to the late Geneva Dolton. He moved to Huntsville, Alabama after serving in the United States Navy.

Rob was educated in the Detroit Public School System. After graduating from Martin Luther King Jr. High School Rob enlisted in the United States Navy. Rob served ten years in the U.S. Navy and was a Gulf War Operation Desert Storm veteran.

Rob loved sports and would spend hours watching his favorite teams. Although Rob lived in Huntsville, AL, he still considered Detroit his home. He supported all Detroit sports and stayed on top of all the latest Detroit news. In addition to his passion for sports, he also found solace and inspiration in the pages of the Bible. His profound love for reading scriptures illuminated his life, leaving an indelible mark of faith and wisdom on all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one brother, Charles Dolton (spouse LaTonya) of Detroit, Michigan; one brother-in-law, Paul Causey of Madison, Alabama; one uncle, Charles Haggert of Madison, Alabama; nephews, Paul L. Causey, Christopher Causey, Kevin Dozier, Dominique Dolton, Michael McClain, Jalen Barbee, Charles Dolton, Jr.; nieces, Tina Dolton, Sanquanette Hawthorne, Lakina Dozier and Alexis Barbee; 25 great nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and dear friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Reverend Herbert Cartwright officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.

There will be no public viewing.
