Robert Charles McFadden, 89, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at his home. He was born December 15, 1935 to Elbert Dewey McFadden and Gracie Steele McFadden. He was a retired carpenter and service technician for Sunshine Homes of Red Bay, AL and was of Baptist faith.
Services will be Thursday, July 31, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Mike Deaton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 11-1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his sister and caregiver, Ora Nell Farris; his brother, Marvin McFadden (Shirley); nephews, Connie McFadden (Frances), Robert Smith, Ronnie Smith (Tammy) and Tommy Farris (Barbara); nieces, Margaret Harris, Angela Richardson (Chris), Brenda LeBert (Scott), Judith Housley (Wayne), Rose Forrester (William) and Jacqueline Smith; twenty-two great-nephews and nieces and fifteen great-great-nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Orbie Kenneth McFadden (Becky); sister, Flora Bell Smith (Doyle); nephew, Rick Smith; two great-nephews, Randy Smith and Brad Harris and brother-in-law, Kenneth Farris.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Farris, Lee Farris, Cayson Housley, Connie McFadden and Scott LeBert.
