Robert Bridgeforth Hanserd Sr., 69, of Athens, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Athens-Limestone Hospital E.R. Mr. Hanserd was born December 25, 1943 in Scottsboro to David Hanserd and Mildred Tennison Hanserd.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Scheler officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Swanner Hanserd; sons, Robert B. Hanserd Jr., David Mark Hanserd and William Stewart Hanserd and wife, Allison; brother, David Gordon Hanserd and wife, Gina; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mildred Hanserd; beloved aunt and uncle, Cullen and Melvine Tennison.
Pallbearers are Skylar Brady, Chris Campbell, Mike Tribble, Gary Compton, Dickie Hobbs and Harold Wales.
