Robert ‘Bobby’ Amis, 91, of Huntsville, AL, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born in Giles County, TN (Bodenham Community), he served in the US Army, Fort Knox, KY. He attended the University of Louisville, was a US Postal Service Carrier in Birmingham, AL. He loved to read historical books, was an avid fisherman, and was the kind of man everyone liked and loved. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Sadie Amis; son, John Amis (Lori); daughter, Carol Calvert (Mike); grandchildren, Ben Calvert (Jess), Joe Calvert (Jen), Brooke Calvert, Codie Ann Amis, and Courtney Amis; and great-grandchildren, Parker, Hannah, Shelby, James, and Jack Calvert.
Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN officiated by Dr. Mike Calvert.
