Robert “Bob” Smith, 78, of Decatur, AL, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2025. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Impact Church. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM at Impact with Bro Richie Thompson officiating.
Bob is survived by his wife Holleen; daughter, Abby; son Billy; daughter in law, Lisa and his beloved grandchildren, Tempe and Dorian; and his extra daughter, Ashley Carpenter.
Bob was born Dec 30th, 1946 in Lawrence Co., AL. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to work at TVA as an engineer. After retiring from TVA, he became the owner of Jerry’s Restaurant for 7 years. He then worked in Environmental Health for the Limestone Co. Health Department for 18 years, before retiring. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, Dad, and Pop-Pop.
Pallbearers will be Bob’s son Billy and close friends from Impact Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Impact Church of Decatur.
