Funeral service for Robert “Bob” Ford Spurlin, 94, will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Union Church of Christ with Children & Grandchildren speaking and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Union Church of Christ.
Mr. Spurlin died on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born September 19, 1923, in Hamilton County, TN, to James Hix Spurlin and Emma Catherine Ramsey Spurlin. He was a World War II Veteran of the Army Air Corp. He was retired from Wolverine Tube after 34 years of service. Mr. Spurlin was a member of the Union Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Anne Spurlin, sons: Gary Spurlin and Robert D. Spurlin, a grandson: David R. Johnson, Jr., a granddaughter: Bethany Spurlin, son-in-law: David R. Johnson, Sr., four brothers: Luther, Cecil, Winter and Tooney Spurlin and seven sisters: Ethel Carlock, Lula Hill, Velma Munger, Annie Collins, Mintie Defreice, Miona Tankerlsey and Ina Mae Gibson.

He also leaves behind a longtime special friend:
Wilma Evans.
Pallbearers will be Will Spurlin, Jonathan Terry, Paul Spurlin, Joey Cox, Rob Cox, Jimmy Moody and Vasile Dragu.
