Robert “Bob” Carroll Montgomery – Obituary

Robert “Bob” Carroll Montgomery passed away suddenly, Aug. 8, 2016 at his home. He was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Moulton to Carl and Beatrice Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judi Quinn Montgomery; brother, Randy Montgomery; two brothers-in-law, Bill Bowman and JD McCarver and nephew, Matt Spain.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Vickery (Mike) of Athens; son, Clint Montgomery (Juan Carlos) of Atlanta, Georgia; his brother, Ronnie Montgomery (Bonita) of Hartselle; sisters, Janice Bowman of Columbia, South Carolina and Linda Spain McCarver of Decatur; two grandsons, Chase and Ben Vickery.

He was a 1960 graduate of Decatur High School, and he had a small group of classmates with whom he remained close until his death. He retired from Wolverine Tube in 1999 after 35 years and was an avid NASCAR fan.

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
