Robert (Bob) Cable Morford Sr., age 91, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 February 13, 2017 at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Jackson, TN to the late William and Eudora Neblett Morford. He was a graduate of Jackson High School and was retired from the John Deere Company and was in sales for many years serving the community. He was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church and was a member of the Aldersgate Mens’ Bible Class. Mr. Morford was a member of Duck’s Unlimited, and NRA. He was a member of the first graduating class of four years at University of Tennessee at Martin receiving a BS Degree in Agriculture. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Lois Anderson Morford of Jackson; two daughters, Kathy Morford Palmore of Germantown, TN and Barbara and David McKeever of Birmingham, AL; one son, Robert Morford Jr. of Jackson, TN, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Barry Scott and Rev. John Archer officiating. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers to serve are Ladd Thompson, Keith Carter, Bob Pearson, Dennis Hornsby, Burt Gillmann, and Stephen Sonnefeld.
