Robbie Robuck West, 84, passed away at Magnolia Hospital, Corinth MS on April 19, 2022. Following Robbie’s wishes, she requests a simple graveside service at the family plot in Encinal, TX to happen at a later date.

She was born to Floyd Edwin Robuck and Mayme Caffey Robuck of Encinal, TX. She was married to Dave Moore West of Oakwood, TX for 56 years at the time of his death on April, 24 2014. The Wests were longtime residents of the Laredo and the Encinal TX area, where Robbie worked for and retired from Mercy Hospital in administration after 42 distinguished years. She was a hard working and devoted wife, mother and grand/great grandmother. Her legacy is the special way she touched the lives of people and loved making memories with her family. She was always the matriarch and “fixer” of all in every way.

She was preceded in death by husband, Dave Moore West; daughter, Lisa West Hammack; and siblings, Johnnie Carter, Nola Dillingham, Dorothy Wiley, SGT.Margaret Gravell and Ray Wiley.

She is survived by daughter, Leslie West; son in law, Gary Lee Hammack; grandchildren, Dustin Thomas Spielman (Virginia) and Kaitlin Yvonne Hammack (Tyler London); great-grandchildren, Adley Blake Spielman, Cooper Reed Spielman and Maylana Jade London; many very special nieces and nephews; special friends of the family, Becky Phipps of Corinth, MS, Andelia Adame and the Guadalupe Garza family of Laredo, TX.

Finally, words cannot express the sincere gratitude from the family to all of the caregivers of Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka, MS where she was a permanent resident for the last 4 years. The family and relationships built there will never be forgotten. A special thanks for the 4th floor team of care givers at Magnolia Regional Health Center, Corinth, MS for their relentless compassion, care and love they showed Robbie and her family during her final 2 weeks.

Memorial donations can be sent to Encinal Cemetary Association, PO Box 435, Encinal, TX 78019-0435 in Honor of Robbie (ROBUCK) West.

My mother was passionate about the upkeep and appearance of the cemetary. We have fond memories of her dragging us along with a push mower and rakes in hand to work on our family plot and the entrances of the cemetery. Donations to the association will help to make needed repairs, and upgrades to the cemetary for generations to come.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.memorialcorinth.com for the West family.

Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
