Robbie N. Tice, originally from Hamilton, AL passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Murfreesboro, TN. Robbie was born in Hamilton, AL on June 24th, 1935, to the late John Elgar Skinner and Hester Viola Skinner. Robbie was married to the late Fray E. Tice of Hamilton, AL for over 60 years. Fray and Robbie moved to Huntsville, AL shortly after their marriage where they raised their two children. Robbie worked many tears for the Huntsville City Board of Education before retiring in 1998.She Eventually moved and lived in Murfreesboro, TN.
Robbie is preceded in death by her husband Fray E. Tice; her parents, John Elgar and Hester Viola Skinner of Hamilton, AL; her sister, Jewel Cochran of Hamilton, AL; her brother, John L. Skinner of Hamilton, AL. Robbie’s survivors include her son, Greg F. Tice and wife Teresa Tice living in Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter Vicki Tice Freeman and her husband Thomas Freeman living in Prattville, AL; 8 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren; sister Jean Baily and Patsy Palmer both of Hamilton, AL and her brother Ricky Skinner and wife Grace Skinner of Hamilton, AL.
A celebration of life will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church in Hamilton, AL. followed by burial at the New Hope Church Cemetery on Saturday, September 17th at noon cst. Robbie will be remembered and cherished for her love, loyalty, devotion as a wife, a great mother and wonderful grandmother and a great person to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her close friends. She is loved by all and will be missed dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in her memory to her favorite charity, St Jude’s Children Hospital.
