Robbery 3rd and Burglary 1st … Arrests Made In Florence

FLORENCE-The Florece Police Department released a statement concerning two arrests made on Saturday, April 28:

Dalton G Elam

“Robbery 3rd –

On 4/28/18 at approximately 5:30am officers received a call of a suspicious male at Burger King on Florence Blvd. When they arrived they found a w/m that stated he had been assaulted and robbed. He was able to give a description of the suspect and the officers relayed it to other units in the area. Officers located a male that met the description in Cherry Hill Homes a short time later. The clothing matched and he had some of the items that were taken. The victim was able to identify the suspect as  Dalton G Elam, 18. Mr. Elam was arrested at that point for Robbery 3rd. Mr. Elam is currently in the Lauderdale County Detention center with a $2,500.00 bond.”

 

 

Robert J Taylor

“Burglary 1st –

On 4/28/18 approximately 3:00am, officers responded to a Domestic Violence call occurred in the 500 block of Cypress Mill Road involving Robert J Taylor, 21. Mr. Taylor came to his ex-girlfriend’s residence upset about the female’s new boyfriend. Mr. Taylor parked in the front yard of the residence and then kicked in the door, brandishing a pistol. Officers located Mr. Taylor near the 900 block of Sannoner Ave. The a weapon was located in the console. He was arrested and taken to the Lauderdale County Detention Center and charges with Domestic Violence Burglary 1st and Domestic Violence Menacing. Mr. Taylor was released from the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $51,000.00 bond.”
