Road Over Wilson Dam will be Closed Through November 2

FLORENCE – Traffic across Wilson Dam on South Cox Creek Parkway/North Wilson Dam Road near Florence will be closed to car traffic until noon on Nov. 2 for maintenance. In addition, the United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Alabama half marathon, 5K and fun run will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31.

A closure is necessary for the safety of motorists, those setting up the race, pedestrians and runners as well as maintenance personnel. TVA appreciates the public’s understanding and asks pedestrians to not cross any posted barricade or caution tape.

Signs will be placed on both sides of the bridge and gates will be in place.
