THE SHOALS-The Tennessee Valley Authority will close the road over Wilson Dam beginning on Tuesday, February 21.
The closure is for routine maintenance. Authorities with TVA say the roadway will be closed for four weeks due to several routine scheduled activities on the spillway gates.
The work should continue from February 21 through March 23. The roadway will remain closed for the entire time.
Drivers are encouraged to use the Singing River Bridge as an alternate route.
