Rita Faye Posey, age 60, of Selma, Ala., passed away on Feb. 4, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ford Harris and Lessie Ree McAnnally Harris, and sisters, Bobby Lefan and Anne Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Preston Posey, of Selma, Ala.; stepson, Carl Preston Posey, of Kentucky; Kim Smith (Todd), of Muscle Shoals, AL; brother, Audie Ray Harris (Bonnie) of McCrory, Ark.; sisters, Ruby Franks (Bill) of New Richmond, Wis., Carolyn Bolen (Gary), of Selma, Ala., Bobby Lefan, and Anne Brown; sisters in Christ, Kathy Rivers and Deborah Myrick; one grandchild, Jordan Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherokee, Ala. Visitation was held at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hopsital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
