Rita A. Lee, 74, passed away on February 11, 2025 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. She was a retired office manager for Starkville Pediatrics, past president of Starkville Jaycettes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Dan Thornton; and sister, Teresa Horton.
Rita is survived by her husband, Danny Lee of Starkville, MS; daughter, Alisha LaFell (Scott) of West End, NC; son, Michael Lee (Jennifer) of Starkville, MS; mother, Becky Sue Wilson of Carthage, MS; sisters, Sherrie Matthews of Brandon, MS, Tommie Rees of Clinton, MS, and Janet Robinson of Bay St. Louis, MS; eight grandchildren, A. J., Christopher, Ashley, Brooke, Katelyn, Emily, Jackson, and Laken; and two great grandchildren, Easton and Grant.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the memorial service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Scott Cappleman will conduct the service.
