Funeral service for Rilla Ann Osborn Morgan, 104, will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Corinth Methodist Church with Bro.Tommy Smothers and Bro. Wayne Jetton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the Church. Visitation will be Friday, January 1, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan was called to eternal rest with God on Monday, December 28, 2015 at her home in Brooksville, Alabama. She was born April 6, 1911, in Lawrence County to Ingram Franklin Osborn and Mary Ellen Dobbs Osborn. Mrs. Morgan grew up in a musical family, and was involved most of her life in Gospel Singing. She was given a Congressional Accomendation by Congressman Aderholt for her many years dedicated to and supporting the advancement of Gospel Singing. She enjoyed singing, gardening, fishing, quilting, sewing her own clothes, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Elton Charley Morgan, her parents, three brothers: one unnamed, Cecil Walker Osborn and George Willmer Osborn. One Sister: Jewell Mildred Osborn.
