A Celebration of Life Service for Ricky Powers, 61 of Glen, MS, will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with interment to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Billy Powers will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2023 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Powers passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2023 at North MS Medical Center in Iuka, MS. He was born January 6, 1962 in Chicago, IL to James E. Powers and Barbara Ann Coln Staggs. He was a retired truck driver and of the Christian faith. He enjoyed mechanic work and watching videos about mechanic work. He loved spending time at the lake, jet skiing and spending time with his family. Ricky is survived by his son, James C. Powers; his daughter, Makalyn Powers (Joseph Coats); his step-mother, Laurie Powers; brothers, Tony Powers (Annette), Jeff Powers and Michael Powers (Eugenia); his sisters, Sandra Blackstock and Shelby Berryman (Chris); other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Powers and his mother, Barbara Ann Coln Staggs. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Story, Joseph Coats, Jack Powers, Lance Blackstock, Stephen Berryman and Waylon Hardin. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Ricky Powers.
