Ricky Newell, 73 of Anniston, passed away January 22, 2023.
A memorial service will be held on February 2, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Cremation Services of East Alabama in White Plains, Alabama, with Reverend David Phillips officiating. A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until time of service.
Ricky, know to many as RED, was born February 25, 1949, in Anniston, Alabama.
Mr. Newell is preceded in death by his father, Grover Newell; his mother, Frances Suggs Newell; brother, Freddie Newell; and grandson, Logan Canter.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Julie Teague Newell; daughters, Regina Bell and Shellie Newell; and son, Shannon (Taylor) Newell. He is also survived by a sister, Judy Murdock; brother, Randy (Debbie) Newell; and grandchildren, Makayla Bell, Kameron Bell, Paiden Bell, Gabriel Newell, Samuel Frye, Alizabeth Nicholson, Kairi Newell, Riven Newell, and Josephine Newell; and several nieces and nephews.
Ricky was an avid outdoorsman and loved to teach his children and grandchildren about nature.
He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him
