Ricky Lee Roberts, 67, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born July 24, 1959, in Red Bay, Alabama, to Noel Ray and Mae Dean Williams Roberts. Ricky owned and operated Rick’s Texaco and worked for Mueller Copper and Eutaw Construction. He retired from the Town of Tremont Water and Gas Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of Tremont First Baptist Church. Ricky was talented at building things and could do just about anything. He loved helping his fellow man and especially loved his family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at the Tremont First Baptist Church with Bro. John Griffus officiating. Burial will be in the Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Evangala Roberts, of Tremont; his daughters and sons-in-law, Noell and Clint Vanasselberg of Tremont and Hannah and Jimmy McPherson of West Point; three brothers, Danny Roberts (Patricia) of Red Bay, AL, Jacky Roberts (Dorothy) of Haleyville, AL, and Randy Roberts (Delia) of Huntsville; two sisters, Cathy Cody (Mike) of Nettleton and Vicki Fikes, of Fulton; and three grandchildren, Caroline Vanasselberg, Sawyer Vanasselberg, and Truett McPherson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Clint Vanasselberg, Jimmy McPherson, Sawyer Vanasselberg, Truett McPherson, Danny Roberts, Randy Roberts, Jacky Roberts, and Jason Fikes.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at Tremont First Baptist Church.
