Ricky Lee McBroom, 66 of Elkmont, passed away on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. McBroom was born on April 6th, 1956, in Haleyville, Alabama, to Opie Lee McBroom and Lillie Long McBroom.
Mr. McBroom is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pamela Dawn McBroom; son Robert McBroom (Cassie) of El Paso, Texas; daughter Dana Prosapio (Dan), of Lockport, Illinois; grandchild Makala, Olivia, Nessa, Derek, and Colin; sister Patricia Miller (Donald) of Waterman, Illinois; stepchildren Heather Curtis (Michael) of Springhill, Tennessee and Dustin Gasbarro of South Haven, Mississippi; step-grandchildren Hannah, Haley, Summer, Devin, Carmen, and Evelyn; and extended family Christopher Miller (Sarah), Christopher, and Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Award McBroom and J.E. McBroom; and sisters Esther Lathrot, Shirley Alexander, and Shelby Jean McBroom.
Ricky loved motorcycling, was the administrator of Cave Man Watch forum; loved the Battlefield Band and the Pogues. He loved to read and his favorite author is Robert Burns. He never met a dog he didn’t love.
