  Ricky Lane West, JR. Profile PhotoRicky Lane West, 71, of Becker, MS, passed away due to an extended illness on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, MS.

Ricky was born on September 23, 1954, in the Bartahatchie community. He was the son of the late Richard Junior West of Amory, MS, and Goldie Marie White West Vesterby of Selmer, TN.

He was a simple man who loved his family and the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a chance to support his team. He enjoyed the little things in life and found happiness in being with the people he loved most. He retired from Tecumseh in Verona, MS, after many years of dedicated service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Sue West, Barbara Ann West Miller Knight, and Tammy West; his brothers, Don West, Stevie West, and Larry West; and his granddaughter, Averyl Rayne Lollar.

He is survived by his children, Misty Baker (Virgil) of De Kalb, TX; Elizabeth Olsen (Tim) of Cottondale, FL; Ricky Lane West Jr. (Michelle) of Amory, MS and Crystal West (Angie) of Grand Rapids, MI. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Dickinson (Jim), Denver, CO, Janet Dennison, Denver, CO, and Glenda West Tucker, Amory, MS; his brother, Tony West, Tupelo, MS; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special friends.

The family invites all to a small “See You Later” gathering on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.

Dress for this small gathering is very casual and please wear something, anything related to the Dallas Cowboys, if you can.

Ricky will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
