Funeral services for Mr. Ricky H. Powers, age 57, are scheduled for 2 pm, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Center Ridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Mark McCaslin and Bro. Bill Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Center Hill Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Powers passed away early Friday in Jackson. He was born November 22, 1956 in Henderson County. He was a member of Center Ridge United Methodist Church, enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family, and was a RSVP Volunteer. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Wylie Powers and one son, Gary Powers. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Aline Powers of Lexington; his mother, Mrs. Earlene Powers of Lexington; one son, Patrick (Jessica) Powers of Lexington; two daughters, Angie (Brian) Holmes of Lexington and Melissa (Brian) Barker of Wildersville; two sisters, Martha Jean (Tommy) Miller of Jackson and Marsha Scott of Lexington; and ten grandchildren, Tyler, Dixie, Leslie, Kyle, Gabrielle, Sam, Catie, Parker, Preston, and Reese.
