Ricky Edward Harrison, 64, of Cherokee, passed away Friday, January 6th, 2017, in Vero Beach, FL after an extended illness. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12th, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, with the service Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Ricky was a millwright who loved Alabama football and fishing and his two favorite dogs, Dillon and Gaila.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie Harrison; and his brother, Eddie.
He is survived by his beloved companion of 15 years Trish Angevine; daughter, Amber Harrison-Wallander (Ean); sister, Deborah Malone (Larry); sister-in-law, Angela Harrison and lifelong friend Melissa Parkhurst (Bill); grandchildren, Annsleigh and Easton; and three nieces.
Pallbearers will be David Simon, Brent Logan, JT Harrison, Jimmy Dale Thomasson, Larry Pounders, Bill Parkhurst and honorary pallbearer “Capt Mike” Shepard.
