Funeral service for Ricky Deland Kilgore, 64, will be Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at 3 p.m. at New Oak Grove Church at 530 New Oak Grove Road, Nauvoo, AL 35578, with Brother Jeff Allred and Brother Nicky James officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon at Peck Funeral Home and a visitation at New Oak Grove from 2 p.m. until service time there.
Mr. Kilgore died on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 20, 1953, in Walker County to Cecil Warren Kilgore and Beatrice Elizabeth Manasco Kilgore. Rick worked for Baker Industries/Sonoco Products as a Tooling Specialist for 40 years. Through his faith in Christ, Rick was an exceptional role model as a son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Warren Kilgore.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Shubert Kilgore; two daughters, Holly Kilgore Prince and husband, Chris, and Katie Kilgore Connell and husband, Patrick; mother, Beatrice Manasco Kilgore; two brothers, Johnny Kilgore and his wife, Pat and Mike Kilgore and his wife, Linda; one sister, Rebecca Smith and her husband, Mabry; and one grandchild, Delaney Shea Connell.
Pallbearers will be Joe Wright, Shane Kilgore, John Mac Kilgore, JeremyAllen, Rylan Kilgore and Tommy Treadwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be A.D. Halbrooks, Chuck Terry, Rick Murray, Tommy Patton, Dale Spratlin, Daryl Sandlin, Truel Orr, David Hembree and John Womack.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Emory Winship Cancer Center in Atlanta Georgia.
