Ricky Alan Jones, age 62 of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born in Huntland, Tennessee on April 30, 1959 to the late John Mitchell and Frances Elizabeth (Roberts) Jones. Before his retirement, he had been employed as an auto mechanic and as a carpenter. Ricky enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift stores, as well as fishing, watching movies, and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chelsea Jones. Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Penelope Ann Jones of Arab, Alabama; sons, Anthony Steven Jones of Laceys Spring, Alabama, Jeremey Alan Jones of Fayetteville, and Ronald Lee Jones of Arab; daughter, Hollie Nicole Jones of Laceys Spring, Alabama; siblings, Marty (Mary) Jones of Huntland, Beverly (Eddie) Caldwell of Elora, Rhonda Jones of Elora, Jeffery Jones of Elora, and Sandy (Joe) Allen of Huntland; and grandchildren, Braylon Jones, Aliyah Jones, Isaiah Jones, and Odin Jones. Visitation will be from 1-3:30pm Friday, December 31, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:30pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Scott Honea officiating.
