Funeral services for Mr. Rickie Joel McCaig, age 73, will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in the Shelton Funeral Home chapel with Jonathan Flowers officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 AM until service time.
Mr. McCaig, former owner and operator of O’Briens Tavern in Trenton, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lennie McCaig; and brothers, Kenneth McCaig, Royce McCaig and Monty McCaig.
Mr. McCaig is survived by his wife, Lisa McCaig; a daughter, Lacy (Brett) Stowell; a son, Eli McCaig; a sister, Renee Baker; four brothers, Darrell McCaig, Vaughn McCaig, Deven McCaig and Bruce McCaig; and three grandchildren, Lily Stowell, River Stowell and Liam Putman.
