Graveside service for Rickey Lynn Solomon, age 62, of Decatur, will be Saturday, December 26, 2020, 12:00 p.m. at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Shane Newton officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Solomon, who died Monday, December 21, 2020, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born March 8, 1958, in Limestone County, to J. C. Franklin Solomon and Margaret Allean Harris Solomon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and girlfriend, Deborah Newton.
He is survived by two brothers, Randy Solomon (Lorene) of Decatur, and Joey Solomon of Danville; two sisters, Brenda Parker and Ann Barrett (Wayne), both of Decatur; two special friends, Shane Newton (Anna) of LaPlace, LA, and Beau Newton of Decatur; two special grandchildren, Dylan Newton of LaPlace, LA, and Brittany Allen of Decatur; four nephews; two step-nieces; and several great-nephews and -nieces.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
