Funeral service for Rickey Lamar Garner, 64, will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe David Bailey and Bro. Jack Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Garner died on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 26, 1953, in Morgan County to James Lenord Garner and Velma Inez Breedlove Garner. Rickey was a graduate of Danville High School and was retired from the Morgan Farmer’s Cooperative. He was a longtime resident of Hartselle and the Ironman community, and enjoyed bird hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jim and Inez Garner and two brothers: Frank and Gary Garner.
The family would like to say a “Special Thanks” to Hospice of the Valley and Jill VanVoorst, his caregiver.
The family also requests that memorial gift be made to the Hospice of the Valley, In lieu of flowers.
