Rick Miller, 66, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Margaret Hinton and Norman Miller on October 12, 1948. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corp after 20 ½ years of service. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant, and was a Vietnam Conflict veteran. He attained many medals during his service, including 2 Purple Hearts. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Tuesday, August 11 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Travis Shea. Interment will follow in North Crossroads Community Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Mae Miller of Iuka; 2 daughters – Anissa Talley of Iuka and Kim Britton of Selmer, TN; 1 son – Ricky Miller of Buffalo, NY; 6 grandchildren – Ashlee Tucker, Dustin Vandergriff (Andrea), Gabrielle Vandergriff, Landon Britton, Jennifer Irrizary, and Alexandria Miller; and 4 great grandchildren – David Vandergriff, Rachel Rutledge, and Janell and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Miller and Margaret Hinton.
