Mr. Richard “Ricky” Norris McDuffie, age 62, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Vernon.
Ricky was born June 7, 1959, in Columbus, MS. Ricky made the decision to accept Jesus at an early age. He proudly served in the Alabama Army National Guard after attending school in Lamar County. Ricky spent his working years doing all types of mechanical work. He was an accomplished automobile and diesel mechanic as well as an experienced HVAC technician. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. McDuffie; his step-father, Marvin Mace; his grandparents, Ed and Georgia McDuffie, of Booneville, MS, and Clifton and Wilkie Beasley of Vernon, AL.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 4, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Glenn Boman officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca McDuffie, of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Tasha (Jeff) McDuffie, of Vernon, AL; one son, Jonathan (Christine) McDuffie, of Vernon, AL; his mother, Nelda B. Mace, of Vernon, AL; one sister, Ginger (Matt) Moehring, of Columbus, MS; his grandchildren, Ethan Hester, Dalton McDuffie, Ariella McDuffie, and Leiland McDuffie; one niece, Ashleigh (Grant) Fulton; and one great-nephew, Cooper Fulton.
