Mr. Richard “Rick” Keith Lucent, a 24 year resident of Arab, formerly of Huntsville, went to be with his
Lord Saturday morning – October 15, 2022 at the age of 66 years.
Mr. Lucent was born to Robert Franklin Lucent and Alice McElyea Lucent on December 30, 1955 in
Detroit, Michigan. He was married to Cathy E. Lucent, the love of his life for 46 years. Rick worked at
and retired from Parsons Corporation as an I.T Systems Administrator. Mr. Lucent was known to have a
way with words through music and spreading the word of Christ. He was a minister with his youtube
channel and an avid bible student. His personal hobby and interest involved collecting and shooting guns.
He was a talented guitarist, vocal musician and songwriter. He enjoyed the craftsmanship of airplanes.
He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Rick was a kind-hearted
soul, a pillar of the community and a friend to everyone.
Mr. Lucent leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce about his life: Wife, Cathy E. Lucent, Mother: Alice
“Fran” Cook. Sons: Matt Lucent, Mark Lucent (Karen). Daughter; Lora Satterfield (Logan). Brothers:
Robert “Bob” Lucent (Joni), Dana Lucent (Barbara) and sister Tracey Reynolds (Kevin). He is survived
by four grandchildren: Edsel Satterfield, Autumn Light, Mason Hulsey, Aubrey Lucent.
Mr. Lucent is at last reunited with his father, Robert Lucent.
The family has chosen cremation. The memorial service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial
Chapel, Wednesday – October 19, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 p.m.-4:00
p.m. prior to the memorial service.
