Funeral service for Richard Miles Bennefield, 71, will be Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Kris Bennefield and David Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennefield died on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 28, 1953, in Michigan, to Garvie Vernell Bennefield and Betty Lou Smith Bennefield.
He was employed as an Electrolux Salesman, prior to his retirement. Mr. Bennefield was a United States Navy Veteran, and a graduate of Falkville High School. He enjoyed classic rock music.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his step-mom, Lavada Bennefield, and his sister, Linda Diane Gow.

his Son – Kris Bennefield,
Former wife – Amy Louise Reagin (Mother of Kris Bennefield),
Aunt – Shirley Smith,
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
