Mr. Richard Lynn Hanback I, 59, of Mishawaka, IN, formerly of Florence, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with burial at the adjoining church cemetery. Officiating will be Wayne Wood.

Richard was born on December 8, 1957 in Florence, AL to Grady Everett and Grace (Austin) Hanback. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Willits and Judy Whaley; and brothers, Alan, Terry, Grady, William “Ronnie” and Mark Hanback.

On August 19, 1977 in Florence, AL he married the former Tammy Easley. She survives along with three children, Richard (Lindsey) Hanback of Mishawaka, Joseph (Jenny) Hanback of South Bend and Ronald Hanback of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Savannah (Angelo) Multari, Richard Hanback III, Lilly Hanback, Peyton and Kayelynn; sisters, Joyce Gosztola of Mishawaka, Sue Middleton of Tekoa, WA, Bobbie Herston of Guntersville, AL and a brother, Denny Hanback of Mishawaka.

Richard was a Painter and Drywall finisher working for Stan’s Painting in Hobart, IN. He was a member of Local Union 1118 for 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in his yard. He was an avid Alabama fan, one of the biggest. He loved spending time with his family very much.
