Richard John Matjazic, 82, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday, March 8th.
Mr. Matjazic is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and has been a resident of Madison County since 1978. He retired from the US Army with 20 years of service, having served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Trappe Matjazic; three daughters, Marchell Matjazic, Andrea Comeaux (Michael), and Heidi Durden (Brian); three sons, Timothy Matjazic (Cindy), Richard Matjazic (Sheila), and Shawn Matjazic (Teresa); brother, Rudolph K. Matjazic (Peggy); 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe, with funeral service to follow directly after.
