Mr. Richard “Jeff” Long, age 76, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Jackson. He was born March 16, 1949 in Scotts Hill to the late R. T. and Bernice Long. He was a farmer and a member of the Tennessee National Guard.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Kevin Long (Allyson), Chris Brumbaugh (Adam), and Brandon Williams (Pattie) and their son, Evan Williams; his sister, Pam Long; his 4 grandchildren, Tessa, Blake and Stella Long, and Asher Brumbaugh; a sister-in-law, Rose Long; and his nieces and nephews, Stephanie McCarver (Lynn), Kristie Wilson (Warren), Kaylee Beecham (John Bradley), and Greg Long (Krystal). He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Long.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2025 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Pafford Scotts Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 4 – 8 PM and on Saturday 12 – 2 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
