Richard Jay Nicholson “Richie”, age 55, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Saturday, April 18th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Nicholson Family Cemetery in Pleasant View with Terry Nicholson, R.J. Nicholson, John Powell, Randy Reeder, Blake Guye, Larry Law, and Jaxson Unklesbay serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 2:00PM.
Richie was born on May 17, 1970, in Springfield, Tennessee, to Barbara Ann Redferrin Nicholson & the late J.W. Nicholson. He was a farmer who loved hunting, fishing, and his game roosters. Richie was baptized into Christ on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dale Reeder.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tina Nicholson; son, R.J. Nicholson (Gabbie Roche); daughters, Casie Guye (Blake) and Grace Nicholson (John Powell); brothers, Terry Nicholson (Melinda) and David Nicholson; sister, Mandy Buyukolmez; grandchildren, Daycee Mai, Jaxson Dale, Beckett, Jake, and River James; and sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Lisa Reeder, Jamma Law (Larry), and Randy Reeder (Sandy).
