Memorial services for Richard H. “RD” Davis, age 59 of Ashland will be Saturday March 2, 2019 beginning at 3 pm at Faith Christian Fellowship with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating. The family will greet friends before the service from 1-3 at the church.
Mr. Davis passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. “RD” was a native of Clay County, AL but had lived in Columbus, MS for over 30 years before returning to this area. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver for many years working for Thomas National Lease Company and Sanders Oil Company. He enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, camping, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Davis of Columbus, MS; former wife La Sandra “Sandy” Davis of Columbus, MS; 3 brothers, David Davis of Ashland, James Davis (Jackie) of Ashland and Glen Davis of Millerville; 5 sisters, Mattie Kennedy of Cragford, Maxine Smith of Ashland, Debra Harris of Talladega, Kathleen Johnson of New Orleans, LA and Sharon Miller (Bruce) of Sylacauga; and a large extended family.
