Richard George de Luna, age 71, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 14, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Friday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jerry Rae officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, member of Woodmont Baptist Church, and was a Baptist pastor for over 33 years and retired with East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission as a project manager.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Jean de Luna, and brother, Jack de Luna.
Survivors are his wife, Sheila de Luna; sons, Russell de Luna (Julie) and Daniel de Luna (Gerri); sister, Sue Zgrabik; and grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor, Nick, and Benjamin.
