Richard Frederick “Rick” Kennedy, age 74, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 28th, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.
Rick was born June 8th, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Jim and Catherine Davis Kennedy. He was part owner of Southern Carton and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed baseball, football, game shows, music and casinos.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James C. Kennedy Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alice McKay Kennedy, step sons, John (Heather) Tucker of Phoenix, AZ, and David Tucker of Lewisburg, brother, Dave (Barbara) Kennedy of Lewisburg, sister, Marilyn (Michael) McGuire of Louisville, KY, one granddaughter, Hannah Tucker, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 6th, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. John’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the funeral mass.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Lewisburg Tigers High School Baseball program.
