Richard Douglas “Sonny” Sullivan, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29th, 2026. He was born on November 22nd, 1944, to Buford Sullivan and Lillie Johnson Sullivan.
Sonny was a member of Truth Baptist Church and cherished the time he spent with his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his daughters, Mellisa Miller (Barry) of Athens and Amanda Sullivan of Tanner; his sister, Pauline Garrett of Madison; and his grandchildren, Laci Russ, Taylor Brasel, Bailey Hambright, Brady Kassay, Emma Kassay, Kaden Anderson, and Kayla Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Gayle Sullivan; two children, Tracy Keel and Regina Kassay; and one grandchild, Clint Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Barry Miller, Anthony Green, Paul King, Jimmy Lane, Benny Sivley, and Denny Lane.
