Richard Cory Baughn, 31, of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, in Starkville, MS. Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 1 until 4 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 4 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, David Hearn will officiate. Burial at Lynn Cemetery.
Cory was born in February 19, 1988 at Brookwood in Birmingham. He grew up in Lynn and attended Lynn School grades k — 12, graduated 2006. He was awarded a scholarship to UAB where he was a member of the academic honors society and the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He graduated in 2011 with a major in Political Science and Biology. He was residing in Starkville, MS upon his passing and was loved by many He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Corbin Baughn; grandparents, Willie Baughn and Millard and Joyce Corbin. He is survived by his father, Richard G. Baughn; sister, Katie Elise Hearn (David); grandmother, Ann Baughn; girlfriend, Jaime Rutter and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Starkville Police Department checks payable to Richard G. Baughn.
